Message from the 2020 Day of Caring Co-Chairpersons
Barbara Garcia and Lillian Villamizar

We cordially invite you to the 19th annual Day of Caring for Breast Cancer Awareness Day. This year’s theme is “2020 Vision of Hope”.

On April 18, 2020 we’re excited to be able to bring you this magnificent and moving event. Without the commitment and dedication of a group of outstanding volunteers, many of whom are victims of breast cancer, this event could not happen.
The 19th Annual Day of Caring for Breast cancer Awareness will feature a range of enlightening, inspiring, moving and enjoyable seminars dedicated to a cherishing and loving life.

Our Keynote Speaker is Joseph Cohen. Not every artist can say that his or her work is helping in the fight against cancer. But over the past several years, Joseph Cohen has done just that, working to develop a new, high-tech paint that can be used not only on canvas, but also to detect cancers and medical conditions such as hypertension and diabetes-and his paintings have been shown not only in art galleries, but at scientific conferences. As our EMCEE, we welcome the energetic Roxanne Vargas back.
Our dedicated board of directors and creative committee members contribute their expertise, energy, and time to make this event … from panels sharing the latest breast malignancy care information to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Back by popular demand is a painting session with Erika Pruss-Schmitz.

Our resource area is there to answer your questions, highlighting breast cancer support groups and organizations. In addition to beautifully crafted one-of-a- kind products, our vendor zone, where you can shop “pink things” is not to be missed.

Our volunteers have collected items for what will be a remarkable Silent Auction, and Buchwald Jewelers has graciously donated as the Grand Prize for our raffle, a Ladies 18 Karat yellow gold ring containing 2.70 Carats genuine natural diamonds.

The Double Tree Hilton Miami Airport & Convention Center takes satisfaction in serving us, a scrumptious lunch. What’s more, the Fashion Show spotlights breast cancer survivors who have become our “Models of Hope” and strut the pink carpet in beautiful outfits especially chosen for them.
As in the previous years, without our supporters, the Day of Caring for Breast Cancer Awareness would not be here. We are indebted to you to help us achieve our goal. What motivates us to continue with this wonderful event is your dedication and eagerness.

Finally, we thank each of you for supporting our 2020 Vision of Hope and for coming and making this day so incredibly special.
