Dr. Alejandra Perez
Dr. Alejandra Perez acquired her medical degree at the Health Science Institute in Colombia. She completed her training in Internal Medicine at Danbury Hospital, an affiliate of Yale University School of Medicine. After completing her residency, she was appointed Chief Resident in the ambulatory care setting. She also completed her Hematology and Oncology fellowship training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Dr. Perez is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. She is currently the Director of the Breast Cancer Treatment and Prevention Program at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Plantation.
Dr. Sara Garrido
Dr. Sara Garrido graduated from the Universidad del Valle in Colombia. She came to the United States and trained at the University of Miami in Internal Medicine and was a Chief Medical Resident at UM in 1995-1996. After which she moved to Seattle, and did her Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow transplantation training at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. She is a breast medical oncologist and part of the Miami Cancer Institute. Dr Garrido’s main career interest is in breast cancer development and treatment.
Dr. Frances Behrmann
Dr. Frances Behrmann is board certified in medical oncology and hematology. She graduated from the University Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and completed an internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas; and a fellowship at H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center. She has worked at Baptist Hospital since 1999. Dr. Behrmann has specialized in breast cancer for the past 11 years, but still sees patients with various types of cancer, including hematology.
Dr. Deirdre Marshall
Dr. Deirdre Marshall graduated from Yale University. She completed her medical degree at the Stanford School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California, where she completed internship and residency in a combined program in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Marshall has also completed fellowship training in hand and microsurgery in Paris and cosmetic surgery in Miami Beach. Dr. Marshall has Marshall Cosmétique, a leading Miami cosmetic and reconstructive surgery center since 1993.
Dr. Silvia Rotemberg
Dr. Silvia Rotemberg is a Board Certified Plastic surgeon, member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. She moved to Miami three years ago after having a well established practice at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio for seven years. She was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she received her medical degree. She completed her general surgery and plastic surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic. She specializes in breast reconstruction and cosmetic plastic surgery. She volunteers with the Rotary Club in Chile every year for one week to perform Breast reconstruction in patients who do not have access to plastic surgeons.
